Our History
After in-depth consultations with 48 community mental health organizations from every province and territory in Canada, Mood Disorders Society of Canada developed the Roundtable Report. This report provided a clear view of what organizations are experiencing as they serve Canadians, and it showed that change was needed. Based on the recommendations of the report MDSC began to build the foundation of CCMHN.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a future where prevention and treatment outcomes are improved, mental health services are enhanced, and informed policymaking positively impacts the lives of individuals and communities affected by mental health challenges.
This Report Made it Clear: a Pan-Canadian Network Was Needed
Canadian Community Mental Health Organizations Roundtable Report
Mood Disorders Society of Canada hosted community mental health organization roundtables and met with 48 community organizations across all 10 provinces and 3 territories to hear about their accomplishments and successes, and to learn about the challenges they face in meeting the needs of their community members. We also heard directly from them on how various levels of government can better support them.
